Considered THE gastronomic ‘heart’ of France, our food & wine delights include dinner at one of the great brasserie of the legendary chef Paul Bocuse, a visit to the heart of Burgundy and the Hospices de Beaune with lunch at the renowned Le Montrachet, a visit to the beautiful lakeside town of Annecy with a traditional ‘fondue’ dinner, a full day in the beautiful countryside of Beaujolais as well as some free time to experience the many gastronomic experiences of this great city.
We will stay 8 nights at the recently restored Mercure Beaux Arts located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage ‘La Presqu'île’, overlooking Place des Jocobins and just five minutes’ walk from the Place Bellecour.
During our stay we visit the hometown of Hector Berlioz, La Côte-Saint-André and attend a performance of his magnificent Symphonie Fanstastique performed by the Orchestre de Lyon.
We will fly direct from Manchester on the new FlyBe service departing Manchester 1155 and arriving home at 1515 so nice civilised flight times!
